A street accident is a common incident in our country. The street accident takes place when drivers drive recklessly without following traffic rules or when people crossroads carelessly. Passersby passengers and the drivers of the vehicles are the victims of road accidents. Reckless and unruly driving, lack of knowledge about traffic rules, and aggressive behavior of drivers are the main causes of it. The drivers violate the traffic rules whimsically or overtake the other vehicles. They compete with one another and accidents take place. Moreover, the passersby do not use foot over-bridge and underpasses on busy roads, rather they try to cross in front of the moving vehicles. As a result, they are run over by those vehicles. These accidents shock me very much. To solve this problem, traffic rules should be enforced strictly. The rule-breaking drivers must be given exemplary punishment. Moreover, the government should construct more roads and also widen the existing roads and streets. People’s awareness should also be raised.
সড়ক দুর্ঘটনা আমাদের দেশে একটি সাধারণ ঘটনা। চালকরা ট্রাফিক নিয়ম না মেনে বেপরোয়া গাড়ি চালালে বা মানুষ অসাবধানে রাস্তা পার হলেই সড়ক দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে। সড়ক দুর্ঘটনার শিকার হচ্ছে পথচারী যাত্রী ও যানবাহনের চালকরা। বেপরোয়া ও বেপরোয়া গাড়ি চালানো, ট্রাফিক নিয়ম সম্পর্কে জ্ঞানের অভাব এবং চালকদের আগ্রাসী আচরণ এর প্রধান কারণ। চালকরা ট্রাফিক নিয়ম অমান্য করে বা অন্য যানবাহনকে ওভারটেক করে। তারা একে অপরের সাথে প্রতিযোগিতা করে এবং দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে। তাছাড়া পথচারীরা ব্যস্ত সড়কে ফুট ওভার ব্রিজ ও আন্ডারপাস ব্যবহার না করে চলন্ত যানবাহনের সামনে দিয়ে পার হওয়ার চেষ্টা করে। ফলে যানবাহনের চাপা পড়ে যায়। এই দুর্ঘটনাগুলো আমাকে খুবই মর্মাহত করে। এ সমস্যা সমাধানে ট্রাফিক আইন কঠোরভাবে প্রয়োগ করতে হবে। নিয়ম ভঙ্গকারী চালকদের দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তি দিতে হবে। তাছাড়া সরকারের উচিত আরও রাস্তা নির্মাণ করা এবং বিদ্যমান রাস্তা-ঘাট প্রশস্ত করা। জনসচেতনতাও বাড়াতে হবে।

Indeed, there are numerous accidents all around man. The day before, I witnessed an accident. I’ll now give you a brief explanation of it. A bus was traveling at top speed from Sadarghat. Because he was dozing off, the bus driver was probably drunk. He was asked by every passenger to drive the bus slowly, but he was unconcerned. At that moment, a rickshaw with two people was approaching from the opposite direction. In the blink of an eye, these two vehicles collided at the intersection of the two roadways. The two passengers suffered injuries. However, the rickshaw driver was badly hurt. He had bleeding from his head. Then he collapsed on the ground. On the spot, some individuals gathered. The rickshaw driver was taken to the hospital. On the other hand, information was sent to the police station. Police arrived at the scene of the incident right away and arrested the bus driver. I became flustered. I returned home with a heavy heart.
