What is Routing Number?

The bank routing number is a nine-digit number assigned to the financial
institutions, which indicates which financial institution is the particular
institution on which a payment is made. The combination of 3 digits of bank
codes, 2 digits of district code, three digits branch code and the last check
digit is produced for this very special unique code. This number is also
printed in the lower left corner of the check pages of your bank.
