English is now an international language. It is essential in every sphere of life. The world has now become a global village. Different nations have come closer to one another and they have to make communication with one another. For this communication, a common language is necessary. And English has got the position of a global language. People all over the world use this language as a medium of communication.

Therefore in order to keep pace with the advancement of civilization and maintain international relationships, we should learn English. It is the official language of international organizations like UNO, ADB, World Bank, Olympic Committee etc. More than 80% of all the information in the world’s computers is in English. Without knowing English no one can step into international areas. Many organizations need employees who have a good knowledge of English. So for a good job, knowledge of English is necessary. Nowadays many people believe that English will help them get a good job and better salaries. Almost all the books in different branches of science and technology are either written or translated into English. So English is a must for higher education and international communication. In fact, if anybody wants to get higher education in science and technology in any other subject in a foreign university, need the knowledge of English.
