If I Win a Lottery Essay
Man is fond of daydreaming. I am no exception to this universal fondness of man. I often daydream that I would have won the first prize in a lottery. I do not, however, stop short at daydreaming. I often buy lottery tickets to translate my daydreams in reality.
Now if I win thirty lakh taka in a lottery, I will spend some amount towards my personal comforts and amenities. That is to say, I shall construct a two-storied pucka building. I shall buy modern furniture. Then I will buy a latest coloured television set, a VCD, a computer, a motorcycle, a motor car and an automatic costly wristwatch. I shall also buy for mother and sisters a number of costly saries of which they have so long dreamed of. I will also invite my friends and relatives to a grand feast.
Next, I will spend some amount of money for the allevia ton of the sufferings of the masses. I will deposit some money in the bank and will help the needy and the distressed with the interest of this money from time to time. A few amount of money I will spend in establishing a night school where I will teach the illiterate villagers the three R’s, the scientific methods of farming and the rules of health.
We have a charitable dispensary in our village. I have realized that the stock of medicine is very poor and inadequate. Now and then the patients die from want of medicine. I will also give one lakh taka for the improvement and betterment of the primary school of our village. Consequently, the villagers will be benefited.
The above, in short, is my program of expenses if I am fortunate enough to win a lottery of Taka fifty lakh. This is my dormant desire.
