Pahela Baishakh
Pahela Baishakh Paragraph: Pahela Baishakh is the first day of the Bangla New Year. The day is celebrated with traditional festivities across the country. The traders and the shopkeepers open halkhata and offer sweets to their customers and clients in keeping with this age-old tradition. Different socio-cultural organisations take initiatives to celebrate the day. The day’s first programme begins at dawn at Ramna Batamul. Bangladesh Television telecasts live programmes from 6 in the morning. Bangladesh Betar also airs special programmes on the occasion.
Students and teachers of the Institute of Fine Arts bring out a colourful procession from the Institute premises at 9:30 a.m. carrying festoons, placards, posters, banners and wearing masks to welcome the Bangla New Year. Different socio-cultural organisations like Bangla Academy, Shilpakala Academy, Jatiya Press Club, Bulbul Lalitakala Academy, Liberation War Museum and Bangladesh National Museum hold different cultural programmes. The day really brings pleasure and happiness to all the people of the country.
বাংলা নববর্ষের প্রথম দিন পহেলা বৈশাখ। দিনটি সারাদেশে ঐতিহ্যবাহী উৎসবের মধ্য দিয়ে পালিত হয়। পুরনো এই ঐতিহ্য ধরে রেখে ব্যবসায়ী ও দোকানদাররা হালখাতা খুলে ক্রেতা-ক্লায়েন্টদের মিষ্টি উপহার দেন। বিভিন্ন সামাজিক-সাংস্কৃতিক সংগঠন দিবসটি উদযাপনের উদ্যোগ নেয়। রমনা বটমূলে ভোররাতে শুরু হয় দিনের প্রথম কর্মসূচি। বাংলাদেশ টেলিভিশন সকাল ৬টা থেকে সরাসরি অনুষ্ঠান সম্প্রচার করে। বাংলাদেশ বেতারও এ উপলক্ষে বিশেষ অনুষ্ঠান সম্প্রচার করে। চারুকলা ইনস্টিটিউটের শিক্ষার্থী ও শিক্ষকরা সকাল সাড়ে ৯টায় ইনস্টিটিউট চত্বর থেকে ফেস্টুন, প্ল্যাকার্ড, পোস্টার, ব্যানার এবং মুখোশ পরে বাংলা নববর্ষকে স্বাগত জানাতে একটি বর্ণাঢ্য শোভাযাত্রা বের করে। বাংলা একাডেমি, শিল্পকলা একাডেমি, জাতীয় প্রেসক্লাব, বুলবুল ললিতকলা একাডেমি, মুক্তিযুদ্ধ জাদুঘর এবং বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় জাদুঘরের মতো বিভিন্ন সামাজিক-সাংস্কৃতিক সংগঠন বিভিন্ন সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান করে। দিনটি দেশের সকল মানুষের জন্য সত্যিই আনন্দ ও আনন্দ নিয়ে আসে।
