Our National Flag: Paragraph

National flag is the symbol of independence to a nation. Every nation of the world has a national flag of its own. Bangladesh has also a national flag. The proportion of its length and breadth is 10:6. Our national flag is a piece of rectangular green cloth with a round red dislike patch in the middle. The radius of the red circle is one-fifth of the length of the flag. The green color represents the admiration of youthful vigor as well the green fields and the ever green subtropical forest of Bangladesh. The circle symbolizes the rising sun with new hopes and aspiration of a new nation. The flag is hoisted everyday on top of our important government building and educational institutions. It is hoisted everywhere on the Independence Day and the victory day. Our national flag always inspires us to dedicate our lives for the greater interest of the country. So we are proud of it (design flag).

National flag reflects the freedom of a nation of a certain geographical area and introduces it to the people of the other countries. As Bangladesh is an independent country, it has a national flag. We have achieved it in 1971 through the Liberation War of nine months. Kamrul Hassan, a famous artist of Bangladesh, is the designer of our national flag. It is like a rectangular to look at. The proportion of length and width is 10:6. There is a red circle in the flag of which radius is one-fifth of its length. The green color of the flag symbolizes youth and peace. The red sun symbolizes the sunrise after a long dark period of oppression of the Pakistani government. It is hoisted at the top of government office buildings, ministers’ cars and educational institutions every day in our country. It is also hoisted in the UNO and foreign high commission offices. It is kept half-mast on the mournful days of the nation. I am very proud of our national flag. When I salute the national flag, I remember the supreme sacrifices of the freedom fighters and get inspiration to be a true patriot.
